About Once and Future Citizen

In 2021, rising polarization left many young people feeling disconnected and uncertain about their civic agency. What began as a simple idea has grown into something much more significant. In 2024, we are proud to announce an organization designed by students, for students: Once And Future Citizen. Our first endeavor is a conference that aims to engage and empower New York City high schoolers to find their voices. This unique event offers a rare opportunity for youth to take the lead in shaping their civic understanding and future.
